About Namma
What is Namma Ashram all about?+
Namma Ashram is a sanctuary for mindful living, spiritual growth and community connection. We combine age-old wisdom with modern simplicity — offering yoga, workshops, wholesome food, creative arts and restful stays in a serene setting.
Is Namma Ashram connected to any religion?+
No, we are not affiliated with any specific religion. Our approach is inclusive, drawing from various spiritual and cultural traditions to promote mindfulness, harmony and well-being.
Is Namma Ashram only for spiritual people?+
Not at all. While we are inspired by spiritual traditions, our space is open to anyone seeking peace, creativity, health or inspiration — regardless of background or belief.
Can I visit just to explore the space?+
Yes, you're welcome to visit our café, shop or library without attending an event. Many guests come for a meal and end up staying for a workshop or evening performance.
What else can I do at Namma Ashram apart from events?+
Plenty. Enjoy soul-nourishing meals at our café, relax in the library, try your hand at pottery, shop for mindful artisanal products in our store, stay overnight in our accommodation, join yoga and meditation classes, and attend cultural performances and community gatherings.
What makes Namma Ashram's café different?+
Food at Namma is soulful, honest and home-style, made with care and cooked fresh when you order — so allow a little time, and settle into the garden while you wait.
Does Namma Ashram have accommodation?+
Yes — our guest rooms are simple, serene and designed for rest and reflection. Perfect for a weekend getaway or as part of a retreat.
Can I volunteer at Namma Ashram?+

When can I visit the spaces?+
All five spaces, the garden, library and gallery are open to everyone throughout Namma Ashram’s opening hours. Scheduled events and private bookings are confirmed separately.
How do I enquire about a space?+
Use the enquiry form on the Spaces page. Your request is saved and sent to the community team at community@nammaashram.com as a ticket with a reference number.
Is a date confirmed when I send an enquiry?+
An enquiry begins the conversation. The team confirms availability and sends the written terms before the booking is confirmed.
Are the spaces accessible?+
All spaces are on the ground floor. Only the stay rooms are upstairs.
What pricing applies?+
Hourly weekday and weekend rates are listed for each space, plus applicable GST. Private and corporate bookings receive a tailored quote.
Membership
Membership questions
Is Namma Circle the same as a class membership?+
No. A program membership buys you a batch of classes. Namma Circle is a relationship with the place — priority, invitations and members' rates. You can hold both, and they never merge.
Do I have to volunteer as a member?+
No. The quarterly seva morning is an invitation, not an obligation.
Can I pause or transfer my membership?+
Memberships can be paused once a year for up to two months. They are not transferable.
